Last updated 18 August 2026. The cookies and similar technologies we use, and how to control them.
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to website owners.
Similar technologies include:
This policy covers cookies and all similar technologies used on our marketing website (archivers.ai) and application (app.archivers.ai).
We use cookies for the following purposes:
We do not use cookies for:
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on every page of our marketing website. It runs for all visitors and is not controlled by the cookie banner, because it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device — so it does not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
It records aggregate visit data only: the page visited, the referring website or campaign, approximate country, browser and device type. It does not use cookies, device fingerprinting, or any persistent identifier, so it cannot recognise you between visits, follow you across sessions, or identify you as an individual. We use it to understand how many people visit and where they arrive from — nothing more. See the Cloudflare Web Analytics page and Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Analytics and marketing cookies in the table below are only set if you choose “Accept all” in our cookie banner. If you choose “Essential only”, none of these are set. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” control shown on every page — see Section 6.1.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_clck |
Microsoft Clarity | Persistent unique ID for analytics tracking across sessions | Analytics | 12 months |
_clsk |
Microsoft Clarity | Session ID for connecting page views and user actions within a session; enables session replay and heatmaps | Analytics | 1 day |
_ga, _ga_* |
Google Analytics (GA4) | Measures website usage and traffic (pages visited, sessions, traffic sources) | Analytics | Up to 13 months |
| VBout cookies | VBout | Track contact form submissions and marketing interactions | Marketing | Varies (typically 12-24 months) |
| Scalenut cookies | Scalenut | Supports an SEO/content tool widget embedded via Google Tag Manager | Marketing | Varies |
| Google Tag Manager | Manage analytics tags and track website usage via GTM | Analytics | Varies (session and persistent) |
Important: Microsoft Clarity records anonymised session replays and heatmaps of how visitors interact with our website. This includes mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, and page navigation. Personal information (e.g., form inputs) is automatically masked by Clarity to protect your privacy.
Session recordings help us identify usability issues and improve user experience. If you do not wish to be recorded, you can opt out by blocking Clarity cookies (see Section 6 below).
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |

| Session token (httpOnly, secure) | Authenticate users and maintain login sessions. This cookie is essential for the application to function. | Strictly Necessary | 30 days (or until you log out) |
Note: the application uses a single essential cookie for authentication. Without this cookie, you will not be able to log in or use the application. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies within the application itself.
Some cookies on our marketing website are set by third-party services we use:
We do not control these third-party cookies. They are governed by the privacy policies of the respective third-party services.
You have several options to manage cookies:
When you first visit archivers.ai, a banner lets you choose “Accept all” or “Essential only”. Essential cookies are always set, since the site can’t function without them; analytics and marketing cookies (see Section 3) are only set if you choose “Accept all”.
You can change your mind at any time: a small “Cookie settings” control is shown on every page and reopens the banner so you can update your choice. Your choice is stored in your browser (not as a cookie, but using similar local storage) and re-applied automatically on later visits.
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can:
