Cookie Policy

Last updated: 15 February 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to website owners.

Similar technologies include:

  • Local storage: data stored in your browser for longer periods.
  • Session storage: temporary data that is deleted when you close your browser.
  • Pixels and beacons: tiny images that track whether you've opened an email or visited a page.

This policy covers cookies and all similar technologies used on our marketing website (archivers.ai) and application (app.archivers.ai).

2. How we use cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies: necessary for the website or application to function properly (e.g., authentication, session management).
  • Analytics cookies: help us understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it (e.g., pages visited, time on site).
  • Marketing cookies: track form submissions and marketing campaign effectiveness.

We do not use cookies for:

  • Third-party advertising or ad tracking.
  • Selling your data to third parties.

Microsoft Clarity Session Recording

Important: Microsoft Clarity records anonymised session replays and heatmaps of how visitors interact with our website. This includes mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, and page navigation. Personal information (e.g., form inputs) is automatically masked by Clarity to protect your privacy.

Session recordings help us identify usability issues and improve user experience. If you do not wish to be recorded, you can opt out by blocking Clarity cookies (see Section 6 below).

4. Cookies we use on our application (app.archivers.ai)

Cookie Name Purpose Type Duration
Session token (httpOnly, secure) Authenticate users and maintain login sessions. This cookie is essential for the application to function. Strictly Necessary 30 days (or until you log out)

Note: the application uses a single essential cookie for authentication. Without this cookie, you will not be able to log in or use the application. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies within the application itself.

5. Third-party cookies

Some cookies on our marketing website are set by third-party services we use:

  • Microsoft Clarity: analytics and session recording. See Microsoft Privacy Statement for details.
  • VBout: marketing automation and form analytics. See VBout Privacy Policy for details.
  • Google Tag Manager: analytics tag management. See Google Privacy Policy for details.

We do not control these third-party cookies. They are governed by the privacy policies of the respective third-party services.

6. How to control and delete cookies

You have several options to manage cookies:

6.1 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can:

  • View which cookies are stored and delete them individually.
  • Block all cookies.
  • Block third-party cookies only.
  • Delete all cookies when you close your browser.

How to manage cookies in common browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies

For more information, visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.

6.2 Opt Out of Microsoft Clarity

To opt out of Microsoft Clarity tracking specifically, you can:

  • Use browser privacy extensions that block analytics trackers.
  • Enable "Do Not Track" in your browser (though not all services honor this signal).
  • Block Clarity cookies via your browser settings (see Section 6.1).

6.3 Impact of Blocking Cookies

If you block or delete cookies:

  • Marketing website: the website will still function, but we will not be able to track analytics or improve user experience based on visitor behavior.
  • Application: blocking the session token cookie will prevent you from logging in. You must allow essential cookies to use the application.

7. Changes to this cookie policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time to reflect changes in our use of cookies or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.
